Vandalark R. Patricks, Executive Director of Campaigners for Change International, joins several healthcare workers during the COVID-19 pandemic as frontline healthcare volunteer at the University of Maryland Capital Region Health to save lives.
“As a Human Rights Defender, I never thought I would ever be a frontline practitioner during any pandemic like this. Working with other professional healthcare workers during the COVID-19 pandemic to save lives has been incredible! It has also given me a different picture of my work beyond peaceful rallies and policy advocacy. I never imagined that I would ever put aside my microphone and placards to get on the frontline of the current COVID-19 to save lives. I am very proud of my services to humanity as a social justice activist.”
